Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness:

A training program that provides emergency responders with awareness-level instruction on recognition, avoidance, isolation, and notification procedures in a WMD incident. The course covers prevention and deterrence initiatives along with chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) hazards.

You will learn about: The recognition, avoidance, isolation, and notification techniques in a weapon of mass destruction (WMD) environment.

At the conclusion of this course You Will Be Able To:

Demonstrate a working knowledge of the prevention and deterrence strategy, to identify indicators of potential terrorist acts, and to identify potential terrorist targets;

Understand recognition, avoidance, isolation, and notification techniques of chemical agents and toxic industrial chemicals and material in a WMD environment;

Understand recognition, avoidance, isolation, and notification techniques of radiological and nuclear material when used as WMDs and

Understand recognition, avoidance, isolation, and notification techniques of explosive devices when used as WMDs.
