Marksman/Observer Training

This course is fashioned toward those in law enforcement special operations who are assigned to support their agency Emergency Response Team on high-risk entries. This course is extremely physical and will test the individuals stamina and endurance. This block of training consists the following areas:

  • BASIC MARKSMANSHIP
  • RIFLE SIGHT-IN
  • DATA BOOK
  • POSITION SHOOTING & UNCONVENTIONAL POSITIONS
  • SCOUT & RANGE ESTIMATION
  • MOVING TARGET ENGAGEMENT
  • CONSTRUCTION OF URBAN HIDE
  • GHILIE SUIT CONSTRUCTION
  • INDIVIDUAL & TEAM MOVEMENT

    EQUIPMENT:

  • BOLT ACTION OR SEMI AUTO RIFLE w/ SCOPE, DUPLEX RETICLE OR MIL-DOT
  • 300 ROUNDS OF RIFLE AMMUNITION & 100 ROUNDS OF SIDEARM AMMUNITION (with holster & weapon)
  • SPOTTING SCOPE OR BINOCULAR
  • TACTICAL CLOTHING WITH BOONIE TYPE HAT
  • EYE & EAR PROTECTION
  • BACKPACK OR SUPPORT BAG
  • GARDEN PRUNING SCISSORS
  • A PAIR OF BDUs THAT ARE TWO SIZES LARGER (than what you normally wear)
  • FACE PAINT
  • RANGE FINDER
  • SMALL FLASHLIGHT


    • Course consists of classroom work and hands on field-craft!
